    Swedish Government

The Swedish Government refers to the executive branch of the Kingdom of Sweden, responsible for implementing laws and managing the day-to-day operations of the state. It is led by the Prime Minister, who is appointed by the Monarch and typically represents the political party or coalition that has the majority in the Riksdag (the Swedish Parliament). The government is composed of ministers, often referred to as cabinet members, who are responsible for specific areas of public policy, government function, and public service. The Swedish Government operates within a framework of a parliamentary democracy and is subject to the oversight of the Riksdag, which can influence legislation and government actions. The government’s primary duties include formulating and executing national policies, managing public finances, and representing Sweden in international relations. The structure and processes of the Swedish Government are defined by the Instrument of Government, which is part of the Swedish Constitution.
